CARBON DIOXIDE ICE FUMAROLES & MORE WOODEN PLANETS

Hi Cmdrs,

I left the System with the Wolf Rayet today and started on the 50 jumps I’ve set to something that looks fuzzy on the Galaxy Map, it’s sort of on my way to where I’m going so I thought I’d investigate this strange phenomenon. If you go into the Galaxy Map and turn off all the stars and search around you’ll see loads of very small fuzzy areas that you cannot zoom in to. I’m heading for one which is 3,500 ltyrs away at the moment.

I’d not got far into the 50 jumps when I found this Rocky Ice World with Rocky Rings and the planet itself looks like it’s made of solid wood.

A couple more jumps and I was in a Neutron Star System. Nothing particularly unusual about this one but they are impressive, this one is one of those that is spinning rapidly which you cannot see in this image. If you look you can see a Stellar Dust Cloud around the Star itself.

Then in another system I found this Moon orbiting this Gas Giant. It was reported to have Geological Sites on it, which it had, but what I found was quite unexpected and interesting.

Carbon Dioxide Ice Fumaroles at Site 4. I’ve taken quite a few images here as I was quite impressed with this find. Here is a close up of one of the fumaroles.

Here are some further images of these gas ‘holes’.

This one was a bit weird, it’s almost as if the upright fumaroles have been melted but there are still holes in the brown matter leading down into the bowels of the Moon.

From where I parked the Asp there was a very steep climb over a hill to reach these fumaroles, which I only just managed to get over, however there was another massive drop on the other side which I didn’t fancy going down in case I couldn’t get back, here I’m looking down over the edge.

I’ve now included 2 images of the vista’s I saw whilst roving around.

I’ve returned to the Ship for the night by climbing back over the hill and then a practically flew down the other side using my thrusters. After a good nights sleep I’ll carry on to my fuzzy patch.
