MORE GEYSERS AND LUMPY PLANETSHi Cmdrs,
I think I fell in love with that planet last night, I just couldn’t leave it straight away.
As I took off in the Asp I noticed there was another Geological Site (Number 16) just over 300km away around the planet. I decided to fly over to it, it felt really good low level flying over this interesting planet, it didn’t take too long but it felt great literally flying over the terrain.
Upon arriving at the site I came across another set of Water and Gas spurting Carbon Dioxide Ice Geysers, only this time they were spewing brown gases and water.
I had a small drive around and then it was time go, the Galaxy won’t explore itself. I took off and re-planned the 40 jumps to the fuzzy patch. Tomorrow I hope to have a photo of it so you can see it. I’m 5 jumps away after todays journey.
Within the 35 jumps I’ve done today I’ve found another lumpy, mis-formed world. Here I’ve taken the shot from the dark side using the nearby star to hi-light it’s odd shape.
This is another one I came across. Note how much the Asp’s colour has changed between these two images due to the surroundings.
I’ve moved the Carrier for last time today, the last time because it’s 1000 ton reserve is now depleted, there’s about 70 tons left, I could use it up but I’ll not bother, it can stay where it is now until I’m finished out here. Once I’ve been to the fuzzy area I’ll head for The Carl Sagan from the fuzz.
As I continued my journey I found this Gas Giant which is spinning on its axis every 14 Earth hours causing it to ovate in the fashion it’s displaying here. It’s not a camera aberration, that planet is not a sphere!
After all this excitement I was getting tired so I dropped into a system with a landable planet that had Tungsten and went down to the surface.
I’ve landed near a very large crater which is red in colour despite the rest of the planet being mainly blue. Tomorrow I’ll have a drive around and see if I can find some Tungsten, I do not need much, two finds will do.
Off to my bunk for a good nights kip.
