SULPHUR DIOXIDE GAS VENTS & ASP ON FIRE?

Hi Cmdrs,

I started today with just 5 jumps left to the next O Class system and where the Carrier was parked handing in 2,500,000 credits upon arrival. I set up the next sequence of 8 jumps which went without finding anything of note so I went straight to The Carl Sagan and handed in 2,000,000 this time.

On to the next sequence which was 10 jumps for a change. On the journey I found this lovely Gas Giant, there was nothing special about it I just thought it looked stunning.

I carried on finishing the 10 jumps to the O Class where the Carrier was and handed in only 1,000,000 this time and whilst on the Carrier I added 500 tons of Tritium to the reserves leaving 19,500 in stock.

The next set of jumps was only 6 and I found another Gas Giant which I thought was worth photographing.

With the lack of anything interesting happening I decided to check out a planet with Geological Signals on and flew down, just look at its colouration from orbit, as I approached I’m sure I could see ‘mist’ laying in the valleys and ravines below . . .

This Geographical Signal turned out to be SULPHUR DIOXIDE GAS VENTS and this photo shows the field of vents spewing steam from them making it look like the Ship had caught fire, fortunately I’d parked just far enough away from a vent for it not to cause heat damage to the Asp.

This composition shows the SRV on one side, the Asp on the other, the vent field, the Galactic Plane and also another ringed planet in the top middle, this isn’t the one I’m around, just a nearby one.

I’ve visited about 4 O Class systems today and they have yielded nothing of any major interest. Each one was virtually devoid of planets anyway, one had been visited before and the only one with planets had none that were landable ergo no Biological Signals!

I handed in just 500,000 last time I visited the Carrier and the next O Class is over 2000 ltyrs distant. I set up the next 9 jumps and almost completed them before finding this planet with Geological Signals on.

I’ve flown down and parked near a site ready to have a drive around tomorrow, hopefully the daylight will prevail.

Sleeping bag out again tonight!

Total Ship jump distance so far: 80,324
Total planets Level 3 scanned: 29,40-
Total exploration data: 782,500,000 credits
Total systems with my name on: 3710
My Ship is now 39,262 ltyrs away from Sol!

These O Class Stars are keeping me busy!
