CMDR PAUSANIAS - THE SHIP OF THE MIND EXPEDITION - DAY 113
30 Nov 2020Pausanias
Hi Cmdrs,I set up a new sequence of jumps to the next O Class I've pinged and it was 8 jumps. On the route I decided to do some research on where Biological Signals can be found, according to Fandom they are mostly found in A, B and O Class Star Systems, so I have replotted my jumps to only include these three types of stars.
The first system I jumped into didn't have any Biological Signals but it did have a Ringed Water World.
I arrived at the new target system and NADA again! Just a single lone star, hopefully the new route plotting will yield better results.
I dropped off 7,000,000 credits and transferred another 500 Tritium over leaving 17,000 in the hold.
After a few jumps under the new regime I have noticed two things straight away, one thing is the route is quite zig-zaggy now as the stars I'm now using are not linear, and the other thing is that I'm finding many more Water Worlds. This was one such planet, a Cloudy Water World . . .
I also came across this beauty, not worth anything but stunning to look at close up.
Still not finding any Biological Signals I decided to try a Geographical Signal instead on one of the moons in a system. I found a Sulphur Dioxide Gas Vent field. I did manage to find about 4 chunks of Arsenic although everything else I found I was full of. I took this shot of the field with the Asp in the background.
I’ve arrived at The Carl Sagan and handed in a whopping 26,000,000 credits, this is mainly down to all the Water Worlds I’ve found tonight, sprinkled with many High Metal Content planets.
I’ll stop on the Carrier tonight and hopefully get a good nights sleep.
Total Ship jump distance so far: 93,173
Total planets Level 3 scanned: 32,084

My Ship is now 45,591 ltyrs away from Sol!
Distance to Beagle Point: 24,202 ltyrs
I need a bit of action, something interesting to find, soon.
