SILICATE VAPOUR GAS VENTS & STUNNING PLANETSHi Cmdrs,
As I started off today I had 24 jumps to the target system on the far side of The Veils. On the one hand I feel like I’m getting there, but I’m still actually over 22,000 ltyrs from Beagle Point, so I’m not!
I was jumping away and not really finding much so I decided to investigate a random Geological Signal on a planet. This turned out to be Silicate Vapour Gas Vents. I’ve seen these before but still had a drive around.
I also found this High Metal Content planet which was unusually cloudy, I’ve not seen this very often. Just look how insignificant the Asp looks against what is, by Galactic standards, relatively small.
I arrived at The Carl Sagan and handed in 6,500,000 credits for the exploration data.
Carrying on the journey I went down to a planet surface and found these Sulphur Vapour Gas Vents. Although there were lots of materials to shoot off the vents there wasn’t anything I could pick up.

I came across a couple of stunning looking planets so I decided to image them. This one is a Class 3 Gas Giant with rings. I liked it because of the pink and blues and the way they mix.
And this second one is where I’ve decided to haul up for the night. I’ve dropped really close to the rings. I’m a little concerned that the last few rings I’ve scanned have NOT had any Tritium hotspots, I’m hoping it’s just bad luck, I’m not specifically looking for Tritium hotspots at the moment, I do not need it yet.
It’s a lovely view from the cockpit of the rings and the planet. It’s unusual to find a Lava planet with rings. I’ll see you all tomorrow. Night Cmdrs.

Just so it’s documented I’ve reached the highest HERO position in Inara today. I’ve achieved 92% Hero. The next goal is LEGEND, 8% to go, that should take me about a week at current rate.
