NEUTRON STARS, LOTS OF CARRIER JUMPS & MININGHi Cmdrs,
By the time I woke up today The Carl Sagan was in orbit around the planet we were mining yesterday so I went over and had breakfast on The Carrier before starting the day. I handed in my 7,000,000 credits for the scanning I did yesterday.
I need to get a few jobs done on The Carrier first thing so I've set it jumping towards the target system which was 7,000 ltyrs away at the time. I've been bobbing around The Carrier getting various repairs done whilst keeping an eye on the jumping. I'll get out and do some exploring later today hopefully.
By the time I was ready to do some exploring I’d already moved The Carl Sagan 2,500 light years. I emerged in the Asp and sent the Carrier on yet again. My plan was to chase after the Carrier exploring on the in between journey.
However, I had a lot of exploring to do, but kept moving the Carrier on ahead. After a few systems I was quite a way behind the Carrier, 21 jumps away to be precise.
The Carrier then got to the point where I couldn’t move it remotely again as the reserves had run right down, I now HAD to go to the Carrier to refuel it. During the journey I passed through this Neutron Star system.
I managed to refuel from it and made a 256 light year jump!
Upon reaching the Carrier I handed in 12,000,000 credits for all the mapping I’d done.
I refuelled the Carrier.
In the meantime Shen had found another Tritium hotspot and was mining. I changed to my Cutter and set off to meet up with him, 9 jumps, which also took me through another Neutron Star system.
We both mined away and Shen handed in two lots of 72 tons and I managed a single amount of 220 tons before we decided to go back to the Carrier and hit the bar for the rest of the evening.
This is The Carl Sagan parked in orbit by Phrio Byoe VU-K c23-275 right near where we are currently mining.
More Carrier moving tomorrow and more mining, we need about another 4,500 tons to get back to Sol.
